Frequently Asked Questions

Q . 1 Will my insurance rates go up if I file a claim fordamages?
A . 1 Yes and No Insurance companies have funds in reserve for catastrophic events such as hail and wind storms. A catastrophic event may result in higher premiums for everyone throughout Texas, regardless of who files a claim.
Tip : You will not be able to sell or refinance your home with a damaged roof.

Q . 2 My roof is new, my neighbor’s roof is old, and how do you determine the damage on each?
A . 2 All hail damage is assessed in the same manner. A thorough inspection is performed on every slope of your roof. If you have indentions, bruises, splits, cracks, or holes that can be felt or seen, you have damage.
TIP : Age does matter!!!

Q . 3 How much will it cost me to have my repairs completed? We do not have money set aside to pay for these repairs!
A . 3 The amount of you deductible.
Tip : If you have a full replacement cost policy, the insurance company pays the whole bill except your deductible. However, your adjustment can be very confusing for anyone who has not been through a claim in the last few years.
